ArrowCreek This Fall: Which Dates Are Open to Every Homeowner, and Which Belong to The Club

"Available to all Club Members, ArrowCreek Homeowners & Their Guests." That line sits at the top of the registration page for a blues concert at The Club at ArrowCreek on October 15. Most events on this fall's ArrowCreek calendar don't carry that line. The Club at ArrowCreek hosts most of the dates between now and Thanksgiving, and almost all of them are for members and their guests. If you own a home here without a membership, the two dates written for you both fall in the same week, October 15 and October 17.

October 15 and 17: the open week

The first is a Thursday night show. For the Song, a charitable concert series, brings The Sugar Thieves to the Vista Room Music Club at The Club at ArrowCreek, 2905 Arrowcreek Parkway, on Thursday, October 15, from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. The band has toured the United States, Mexico and Europe and has shared bills with Taj Mahal, B.B. King, Willie Nelson, Lucinda Williams and Robert Cray. They have won Arizona's statewide blues competition three times and took People's Choice honors at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis.

The show is free. The registration page says all proceeds collected at For the Song concerts go directly to the artists, and you don't have to donate to attend. The practical details:

  • Who can go: Club members, ArrowCreek homeowners and their guests
  • How to get in: register ahead online, with up to four attendees per form
  • Cost: none required, with an optional donation at registration
  • Where: the Vista Room Music Club at The Club at ArrowCreek

Two days later the setting moves from the clubhouse to the Residents' Center. The ArrowCreek HOA Harvest Festival runs Saturday, October 17, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the ArrowCreek Residents' Center. The HOA's announcement lists a pumpkin patch where you pick and decorate your own pumpkin, plus carnival games, a magician, spooky treats and harvest snacks, and it asks guests to come in costume. The HOA posted it on September 6. On the association's public calendar, it's the only scheduled community event besides a general entry for committee meetings.

Those committee meetings are also open to everyone in the community, though they don't appear as dates on the public calendar. The HOA's committee page welcomes all residents and says each committee announces its meeting dates and times through TownSq and email. If you want to know when the next one is, check TownSq rather than the public website.

For the Song is the open door at The Club

The October 15 show is part of a pattern. For the Song is the series that has brought ArrowCreek homeowners without a membership into The Club. Its summer run on the Grand Lawn ended with The Novelists on Sunday, September 20. The Club described that show as open to members, ArrowCreek residents and their guests, who were invited to bring chairs, blankets, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks and to register at ForTheSong.org beforehand. The October show is in the Vista Room Music Club, and its registration page invites ArrowCreek homeowners too.

The next For the Song date is less clear. A For the Song AfterParty is listed for Friday, November 6, from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. at The Club at ArrowCreek, and its registration page lists individual seats at $125. Neither page says whether homeowners without a membership can attend, so it's worth asking For the Song before you plan around it.

The rest of the season runs through The Club

From late October through Thanksgiving, The Club's own calendar fills up. Here it is in order, with who each date is for, as The Club describes it:

  1. Saturday, October 10: the Men's Icicle Open golf tournament.
  2. October 23–25: the Men's Arrow Cup. The Club's tournament guide frames its events for members or outside groups, not open public play.
  3. Friday, October 30, Nevada Day: the annual Fall Festival on the Grand Lawn, for members and their guests, with costumes encouraged.
  4. Saturday, November 14: the third annual Holiday Bazaar, held throughout the clubhouse.
  5. Wednesday, November 25: Thanksgiving To-Go pickup for members.

The dates line up in a way that's easy to miss. ArrowCreek has two fall festivals 13 days apart. The HOA's Harvest Festival on October 17, with its pumpkin patch, is for every resident at the Residents' Center. The Club's Fall Festival on October 30 is for members and guests. The Club hasn't published this year's lineup. It says its festival activities change each year, and past festivals have included a pumpkin patch, a petting zoo, carnival games, a build-your-own s'mores station, custom cotton candy and fall cookie decorating. A family with young children and no membership has the October 17 afternoon. A family with a membership can go to both.

The Holiday Bazaar is the start of the holiday season at The Club. Local vendors set up throughout the clubhouse selling jewelry, clothing, pottery and art. Members and their guests get champagne and spiked cocoa, and can take home fresh-baked breads and pies, caramel apples and kettle corn. Eleven days later comes Thanksgiving To-Go. Members can order a traditional turkey dinner, or New York strip loin or prime rib, with all the fixings, and staff bring it out to your car.

The outdoor season is winding down. The Club's pool complex closed for the year on September 13, and The Club said its weekly Wednesday patio music for members and guests would run through mid-October. After that, the November dates move inside the clubhouse.

The roads to the gate, a year after the rebuild

If you're driving to The Club or the Residents' Center this fall, the main roads in and out have just been rebuilt. In 2025, RTC Washoe began full-depth reconstruction of Arrowcreek Parkway from Thomas Creek Road to east of Wedge Parkway, and of Wedge Parkway from Mt. Rose Highway to Whites Creek Lane. As KOLO reported in June 2025, the plan included new curb, gutter and sidewalks, a 10-foot multiuse path along the east side of Wedge, improved bike lane markings and drainage, and a longer left-turn lane from Wedge onto Mt. Rose Highway. RTC said the two roads had been built about 30 years earlier. RTC's May 2025 board packet lists Granite Construction as the contractor, with a contract of $9,884,884 awarded May 1, 2025.

The latest public updates are from March. RTC's March 2026 traffic report described Granite finishing punch-list items on both roads, with two-way traffic and occasional flagger control. It also mentioned a new traffic signal cabinet at Golden Gate Drive and Wedge Parkway. RTC's project page for the rebuild now returns "not found," and none of the sources we checked confirmed an official completion date. RTC's 2026 preventive maintenance page listed utility adjustments on Arrowcreek Parkway and Veterans Parkway through early October, so check RTC's current traffic alerts before a festival afternoon.

Down the hill at Shayden Summit

The closest shopping center, the former Summit Reno now called Shayden Summit, has added several tenants this year. According to Retail Reno's Q2 2026 report, Anthropologie opened its first Reno store there on March 25, in the former Loft space. Kendra Scott opened in late spring. The Reno Gazette Journal reported that the store had been open about three weeks when it held grand-opening events June 11 through 14.

Two food tenants were still in progress at last report. The RGJ reported in May that Mochinut was coming to the former Starbucks space. Retail Reno's August 14 report still listed both Mochi Nut and Mountain Mike's Pizza as under construction. We couldn't confirm that either has opened, so call ahead before planning a post-festival pizza run.
